Rougaille Paneer

Homemade rougaille paneer

Ingredients

Procedure

  1. Remove curry leaves and thyme leaves and wash.
  2. Add tomatoes to boiling water.
  3. Remove after 1 minute and immediately immerse in cold water.
  4. Peel tomatoes and crush by hand.
  5. Wash, peel and cut onions to desired size.
  6. Wash and finely cut coriander leaves and spring onions.
  7. Add ghee to cooking pot and heat.
  8. Add paneer to ghee and fry till pale brown colour is seen.
  9. Remove paneer from cooking pot.
  10. Add curry and thyme leaves to ghee and fry.
  11. Add cut onions to ghee.
  12. Add salt and cook until onions change colour slightly.
  13. Add tomatoes to cooking pot and cover.
  14. Allow to cook till tomato sauce thickens.
  15. Add fried paneer to tomato sauce and turn off flame.
  16. Garnish with cut coriander leaves and spring onions.
  17. Serve hot.
